LixiLab seeks the well-being of people and the environment. Therefore, it contributes to three of the sustainable development goals: zero hunger, good health and well-being and life on land.

One of the consequences of malnutrition and hunger is the degradation of soils and their infertility. As the land loses its ability to supply food that meets human needs due to leaked toxic metals, the crops produced also become unsafe for consumption. Therefore, LixiLab aims to reduce the problem by eliminating contaminating metals from soils to "eradicate the contaminant from the food chain".

Through the decontamination of soils carried out by LixiLab, it is sought that the metals in the leachates from the sanitary landfills do not reach the crops within the affected areas, reducing the risk for the consumer of suffering digestive, respiratory diseases, and even carcinogenic caused by metal toxicity.

The importance of land and oceans as sustenance and subsistence of human life is recognized. Focusing on the recovery of the resources that provide the existence of human beings, such as agriculture.
